One reason for the popularity of the serial-k architecture is that it allows the tex2html_wrap_inline665 data to be fed into the circuit over several clock periods. If tex2html_wrap_inline665 contains a total of n q bits the serial-k architecture will require only n communication paths (wires) between the data source and the sum-of-products circuit.
